Tended to regularly by a dedicated team of landscapers, it is surrounded on all four sides by the Main House Hotel Rooms, thus permitting access to it from several wings. It is a focal point for all guests, both those luxuriating in the boutique hotel as well as their visitors, in which to enjoy the peaceful environment it generates, unruffled by the rest of the world’s unheard clamour.

Guests using this conference room will immediately be impressed as modern refurbishment lends the room an air of elegant luxuriousness while remaining faithful to the original use and feel of the space. It has been decorated in a classic-contemporary style: elegantly neutral, in pale silver and deep purple tones.
The Citadel is a three story high, arch-braced, vaulted oak-ceilinged hall, supported by timber-framed brick arcades and pillars, in the original redbrick construction common to 19th Century manor halls, offset by the brown- and white-marble and herringbone-patterned oak floors. Ornate woodwork adorns the walls and gallery area, much of it in its original state. The acoustics are second to none and the setting couldn’t be better: The Citadel opens directly onto the beautiful Quadrangle, completing the antique and rustic Pillar experience.
The Tower Lounge is a feature-laden former juncture between the two adjoining segments of the historic building at the Pillar Boutique Hotel. The original parquet flooring and brick archway have been restored and retained, and comfortable couches with Wi-Fi access, complete the transition to a 21st-century Boutique Hotel lounge.
